Taking the pulse of the partners to start off on the right foot!

On September 28th and 29th 2017 took place the interactive workshop “Building an information system at the service of decision makers, researchers, stakeholders and Quebecers”. A total of 36 researchers and ministerial and governmental partners reunited in order to lay the groundwork for a big social project, the NutriQuébec project.

The workshop started off with a presentation by Professor Serge Hercberg, scientific director of the French project, NutriNet-Santé, from which is inspired the NutriQuébec project. Mrs. Martine Pageau and Mrs. Julie Simard from the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux followed by presenting their vision regarding the opportunities that presents a project like NutriQuébec from a public health perspective. Thereafter, researchers and partners were consulted in order to enhance the reflexions and discussions.

In the end, the workshop allowed determining the main challenges of the NutriQuébec project, the type of sampling that should be privileged, to think of the method of governance and stakeholders that should be included as well as to discuss the funding opportunities.

The report of the workshop is available here.
